Helen was thrilled to be selected to assist on the reimagining of this beautiful iconic building in Bishops Stortford, previously the British Legion.

Windhill Villa struck a chord with Helen the moment she visited site. She was keen to breathe life back into this beautiful elegant home and restore it to its former glory.

The approach to this refurbishment has been taken with a sensitive nature. The building dates back to the late 1700's. It was critical to enhance the properties historical features, and complimenting it with a classic contemporary feel.

Taking the brief, absorbing the Heritage Report, walking the corridors and dilapidated rooms, reimaging the elegant interior.

We started the project by appreciating the calibre of this beautiful townhouse and what types of spaces this house required for its new home owner. Investigating our competitors, the location and clientele.

The space planning was thoroughly investigated, to imagine how a family would use the rooms during work, rest and play, providing a number of exciting spaces.

This lead to the creation of a narrative for the house, to ooze a sense of elegance,  opulence and beautiful craftmanship this building deserved.

Windhill Villa has the opportunity to once again be an outstanding prestigious home, becoming a proud associate of this historical street.

The new facility forms part of the bicentenary celebrations. It was a project we were keen to work on as it is intrinsic to supporting the local community to help young and old explore sport, to create a social space and upgrade the facilities for hosting external events. The pavilion is in much need of a refurbishment, and the design strategy was to improve the facilities and increase capacity, providing a lasting legacy.

We have created an attractive social space, that provides pockets of different areas for a variety of guest, taking advantage of the remarkable views across the cricket grounds. The palette is inspired by the surrounding parkland, using tactile finishes, historical club references and planting, to create a seamless connection, focusing on the fantastic grounds which date back to 1825.

The design of the offices in central Bishops Stortford aimed to achieve a modern and contemporary atmosphere, aligning with the newly developed brand identity.

The design drew inspiration from the surrounding riverside location, seamlessly integrating subtle enhancements, such as the 'wave' curtain in the meeting room, not only contributing to privacy requirements, but also the acoustic benefits, and a gentle calming aesthetic.

Additionally the kitchen features a 'pebble' patterned vinyl floor, reinforcing the natural theme, while offering a durable practical surface. The kitchen design enables natural cross fertilization of the business based here with feature island, banquet seating and phones booths.

The private offices of varying sizes,  offer double glazed frontages, providing a visual connection and sense of activity across the floor plate.

A new venture for a fledgling business to expand their burger offer into a retail shopping centre. Providing a take away offer, and maximising the external area for additional seating.

The vision was to create a commercial look, exposed services & concrete floors.  A refined palette, creating an industrial dark backdrop which complements the brand.

Creating an industrial vibe, with a combination of seating types, from high stools paired with the feature banquette, beautifully crafted timber benches & stools, stitching details reflecting the brand shape and raw industrial mesh.

My client Karen and I have built a strong relationship over several months, delving into what combination of spaces The Residence needed to offer its professional clientele.

With different elements which include bench style desking in 'The Pastures', break out areas in '6 acre' and meeting spaces in 'The Stables' the space accommodates different styles of working. For start ups and entrepreneurs, the space enables natural networking opportunities and a sense of belonging.

The design concept takes inspiration from the beautiful countryside location, teasing out colours, textures and ambience from the beautiful palette visible from the barn windows.

'Coworking where you live'

We were introduced to Jonas and Bronte to help them create an interior design scheme for a new unit situated in the heart of London. They wanted the design to reflect their Scandinavian food style which evokes a homely and comforting feel.

A concept design was created through close client consultation and visiting their existing site on Great Titchfield St.

The site came with certain challenges, however we were able to create a atmospheric lighting scheme and finishes palette which enhances the clients business values.

TaylorMade Golf have been a fantastic client to work with. We were awarded the project through pitching, to assist from establishing the brief, to on site supervision.

The renovation of the Brand Centre required integrating the companies brand, philosophy and approach into the design.

The lounge area invites the customer into a professional space, with an undulating feature fin ceiling, emulating a topographic plan of a golf course.

When the product is unveiled, clients are lead into the Proshop, revealed behind sliding doors, where the merchandise is presented.

The key aspect of the design was to create maximum flexibility so the space can be altered to suit each launch event. The walls are constructed of a magnetic laminate, so they can be dressed with various graphics.

'Helen came highly recommended as someone who brought creative flair as well as the technical skills and experience to deliver on an important project for our business. Helen was a pleasure to work with right from pitch stage, through to site supervision. Helen’s proactive, flexible and professional approach meant she consistently delivered to the high expectations we had. We have a stunning brand centre space which is wowing our customers and visitors, therefore delivering on our brief. We would resoundingly recommend Helen for commercial interior design projects and hope to work with her again in the near future.'

Brook's, Independent bookshop/wine bar - Pinner

Working closely with the client to help them visualise their unique concept of a book store combined with a cafe, and a wine bar offer in the evening.

Peter and Sarah have a huge passion for literature and wanted to pair their exciting new venture with a lovely cup of coffee or hand picked wines.

The space will create a haven for  book and wine lovers alike, to relax and be immersed in an inviting environment.

Our involvement has been from establishing the brief, concept design, design development and detailed drawings.
